States must make 'Gangajal' available for devotees at nearest temple: Centre to SC
The affidavit was filed by the MHA, after the top court on July 14, took suo moto cognizance of the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to allow Kanwar Yatra amid the ongoing Covid pandemic. "So far as the subject matter of the present proceedings, i.e., the Kanwar Yatra is concerned, the state governments must not permit movement of 'Kanwariyas' for bringing 'Gangajal' from Haridwar to the Shiv temples of their choice", said the affidavit.

2 terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter
Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces at Alamdar colony, in Danmar area of Srinagar, on Friday, officials said. Earlier, on Friday morning, the firefight between terrorists and security forces took place after a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.
Ram temple to open for devotees at the end of 2023
The Ram temple in Ayodhya will open to devotees for worship by the end of 2023. Construction in the entire 70-acre campus will be completed by the end of 2025, said office-bearers of the trust overseeing the project. Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust, said, "By the end of 2023, the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple will be opened for devotees to offer prayers to Ram Lalla."
Crime Branch arrests 2, including spy passing Army secrets to Pak handlers
The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Thursday said that with the arrest of a spy, Habib-ur-Rahman from Rajasthan's Pokhran, it has busted an espionage racket and also recovered highly confidential documents containing top secret information relating to the Indian Army. He was going to pass them to his handlers in Pakistan.
