SII begins manufacturing Covovax; to start trial in kids in July

The company will also begin clinical trials of Novavax for children starting July. "Excited to witness the first batch of Covovax (developed by @Novavax) being manufactured this week at our facility in Pune," he shared in a tweet on Friday. In the recently released Phase -3 trials, Covovax has shown overall 90 per cent efficacy against Covid-19. The US-based trials also demonstrated the two-shot vaccine 100 per cent protection against moderate and severe disease.
Indian pvt players can build and operate rocket launch sites

Similarly, any rocket launch (orbital or sub-orbital) from Indian or overseas territory can be carried out only with authorisation from Indian National Space Promotion & Authorization Center, an independent body constituted by the Government of India, under the Department of Space (DOS). The launch could be from own or leased launch site and also from mobile platforms (land, sea or air) as per the Draft National Space Transportation Policy-2020 brought out by the Department of Space.
India's Covid vaccination coverage crosses 31 crores

In a significant achievement, India's cumulative vaccination coverage has exceeded 31 crores on Friday. A total of 31,50,45,926 vaccine doses have been administered through 42,00,839 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 a.m. on Saturday. A total of 61,19,169 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

ED arrests 2 aides of Anil Deshmukh

They are Kundan Shinde and Sanjeev Palande working as personal staffers with Deshmukh, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party. The action came a day after the ED carried out raids on the Nagpur and Mumbai residences of Deshmukh besides his aides and associates, sparking protests from a the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
