"Congress won eight seats Non-BJP parties won 7 seats of which only one seat was won by a crypto ally of the BJP, namely YSR Congress. The other six seats were won by parties opposed to the BJP.

PM Modi went around the crowd shaking hands and talking with adults as well as kids. While greeting, he came around a bunch of drummers who had kept a spare drum beside them. They offered the drum to the PM after which he was seen playing it along with the band.
Delhi AQI continues to be 'very poor' ahead of Diwali

The AQI reached the 'hazardous' category in Delhi Institute of tool Engineering in Wazirpur area with 450, followed by Punjabi Bagh at 401. Also, AQI crossed 300 in other parts of delhi. At 10.30 a.m., ITI Jahangirpuri recorded an AQI of 337 and ITI Shahdara was at 367 (unhealthy). The national capital saw a drop in the minimum temperature, while light haze was also visible due to pollution.
Ayodhya fortified for 'Deepotsav' programme

Security has been further beefed up after a recent threat letter was received, purportedly written by a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist commander, threatening to blow up 46 railway stations, including Ayodhya. The town's borders have been sealed and vehicular entry banned, barring VIP and official cars, which need to be parked a kilometre away from the Ram Katha Park.
India logs 11,903 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

In the same period, 311 new fatalities were reported, pushing the death toll to 4,59,191. The recovery of 14,159 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,36,97,740. Consequently, the country's recovery rate has increased to 98.22 per cent. The active caseload stands at 1,51,209, the lowest in last 252 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.44 per cent of the country's total positive cases, the lowest since March 2020, the Ministry said.
October extremely heavy rainfall events' frequency surpasses last five years

Comparing the last five years, the frequency of extremely heavy rainfall has been maximum in 2021 for September and October, India Meteorological Department (IMD) data showed. It was on October 17 that Kerala saw rainfall in excess of 200 mm; October 18 and 19 saw Uttarakhand receive rainfall in excess of 200, 300 400 and even 500 mm rainfall whereas on October 20, it was sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim that saw extreme rainfall events.
Delhi logs 34 Covid cases, no fatality in 11 days

However, no Covid fatality has been recorded in the city in the last eleven days. The Covid infection rate in the national capital stands at 0.07 per cent. The active case tally stands at 309 in the national capital. With 42 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, total recoveries rose to 14,14,522 so far, the health bulletin said.

Wankhede countered this by claiming that a drug peddler had approached his sister who is a lawyer but she declined as she didn't handle narcotics cases. He claimed that the peddler, Salman even tried to trap him and his family and lodged a fake police complaint earlier this year, but nothing came out of it.
